CERES TAG collaborates with Embeint to Introduce the Tauro Collar

We are excited to share that CERES TAG has partnered with Embeint, licensing our proprietary technology to facilitate the creation of the innovative Tauro collar. This new device is set to transform the collection of cattle movement and behaviour data through advanced, long-term monitoring capabilities, enhancing livestock management and productivity.

This partnership represents a significant advancement in our mission to redefine precision agriculture through cutting-edge on-animal monitoring. The Tauro collar integrates Ceres Tag’s extensive expertise and intellectual property in animal monitoring with Embeint's leading technology in ultra-low power wireless IoT solutions. The result is a top-tier animal research collar that establishes new standards in the field.

The Tauro collar has been meticulously engineered for collecting extensive, high-quality location and movement data over prolonged periods.

Key features include:

  • High-frequency GPS tracking (1Hz - capturing data every second).
  • Advanced 9-axis IMU (set at 50Hz by default).
  • Grazing data annotation.
  • Durable, rugged design proven in field conditions for long-term studies (6+ months).
  • Cellular LTE-M connectivity (in areas with coverage) for near real-time data monitoring.

Designed specifically to meet the needs of researchers, the Tauro collar delivers the detailed data necessary for in-depth analysis of cattle behaviour and herd dynamics. This tool not only facilitates current research but also aids in the development of new algorithms, broadening the scope of applications and insights in animal behaviour studies.

We extend thanks everyone at Embeint for their collaboration and shared commitment in bringing this revolutionary product to the agriculture market. We look forward to seeing how the agriculture community leverages this advanced data to foster innovation and enhance productivity across the industry.

Stay connected for more updates as we continue to innovate and lead in the deployment of intelligent, ultra-low power, wireless devices in the agricultural sector.
