CERES TAG at Beef 2021

CERES TAG Launches at Beef 2021!

CERES TAG, the world first animal monitoring platform communicating direct to satellite for traceability provenance, animal welfare and performance of livestock is available now from www.cerestag.com and was officially launched at Beef Australia in Rockhampton at the beginning of May 2021.

Never have we wanted more but known less about where our food comes from. CERES TAG not only drives efficiencies and effectiveness of producing livestock but will also help drive the economic goals of our producers through to national outputs. The automation of information relating to knowing where your animals are, how many are alive and their welfare condition anytime of the day, anywhere and their behaviours will fundamentally change and improve the way we manage our animals and our land for a more sustainable and productive future. You can’t manage what you don’t measure. Simply put the tags on the animal and let the systems do the rest until alerted otherwise.

This capability, now available to livestock producers, follows 5 years of development and extensive testing to the highest degree of animal ethics considerations together with partners Meat & Livestock Australia, CSIRO and Queensland & Australian Governments. Built by producers for producers, it was developed from the ground up starting with retention before adding the worlds most capable monitoring capability with machine learning and updateable firmware.

The Beef Australia event that happens only every 3 years, had over 100,000 visitors over the week and showcased the very best of the industry from animals to the latest technologies and business opportunities. The next generation of producers and other influential stakeholders were evident looking for continuous improvement in everything they do, paddock to plate, to create a cleaner, greener and sustainable industry for the future.

CERES TAG had significant interest which led to a surge of sales which continues now and why people should order their tags as soon as possible for supply. The CERES TAG team were also keen to learn how each producer planned to utilise these new capabilities that had been desired by landowners and managers of livestock for over 20 years.

Visitors to the CERES TAG stand at Beef Australia included;

  • Deputy Prime Minister of Australia (then), Michael McCormack,
  • Australian Minister for Agriculture, Drought and Emergency Management, David Littleproud,
  • Senator for Queensland & Chair of Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport Legislation Committee, Susan McDonald,
  • Queensland Premier & Minister of Trade, Annastacia Palaszczuk ,
  • Deputy Premier Queensland and Minister for State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning, Steven Myles,
  • Queensland Minister for Agricultural Industry Development and Fisheries and Minister for Rural Communities, Mark Furner and
  • Queensland MP of Rockhampton, Barry O'Rourke.

CERES TAG thanks the Australian and Queensland Government for the support and grant incentives to produce this world first capability to change the livestock and biosecurity industry for the better forever.

Since Beef Australia, sales through the ecommerce website Buy CERES TAG Devices have been strong and steady as confidence, education and familiarity grows for the advanced capabilities and opportunities that will lead towards benefits for farm operations through to financing, insurance, marketing and theft reduction.

In addition to the livestock platform, CERES TAG has continued to develop and expand into new areas of wildlife and pets with new platforms to be released in the next 12-18 months.
