Product Warranty – CERES TAG

The policy below describes CERES TAG’s processes for warranty of CERES TAG products. This policy must be read in conjunction with our Terms of Service, which provides the terms and conditions for your purchase of CERES TAG products.

Product Warranty

The CERES TAG Product Warranty is provided by CERES TAG LTD ABN 51 614 436 467 of 58-62 Gilbert Road, Lutwyche QLD 4030 Australia. The terms of the CERES TAG Product Warranty are as follows:

  1. Product Warranty
    • CERES TAG warrants that during the period of 12 months from the date of delivery of the CERES TAG Product (Warranty Period) the CERES TAG Product will be free from material defects (Warranty) provided that, in the case of a Device, the Warranty Period will end when the Device is applied to the animal. The Warranty does not include the Satellite Service, or any defects that result from:
      • the CERES TAG Product not being applied, installed, used, operated or maintained in accordance with any instructions or directions provided by CERES TAG (outlined in section 5 of the Terms of Service);
      • modification, repair or other work performed by anyone other than CERES TAG or a person approved by CERES TAG;
      • use of the CERES TAG Product with unauthorised or incompatible products;
      • use of the CERES TAG Product outside of permitted use outlined in clause 5.1of the Terms of Service
      • misuse or abuse;
      • animal behaviour or treatment that would lead to loss or damage;
      • environmental conditions beyond the parameters in which the product was designed and manufactured; or
      • transport that should have insurance from the courier.
      • data usage for the purpose of decision making
    • Where a CERES TAG Product does not comply with the Warranty during the Warranty Period, the Customer may contact their place of purchase to enquire about replacement or refund.
    • The benefits given to you in the CERES TAG Product Warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies you have under applicable consumer protection law in relation to the CERES TAG products.

For Australian purchases: Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (Consumer Guarantees). You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage that has been shown beyond reasonable doubt to not have been caused by the application of the tag, the animal behaviour, an act of god or natural disaster or environmental conditions beyond the parameters in which the product was designed and manufactured. You are also entitled to have the goods replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality, and the failure does not amount to a major failure within the boundaries described above and could not have been prevented by CERES TAG. See clause 10 of our Terms of Service for further details.

To make a claim under the Product Warranty during the Warranty Period, you will need to contact the store where you purchased the devices to register your claim and provide details to assess your claim.

To ensure this process proceeds as promptly as possible, please include the following in your initial email:

  • your email address
  • your name
  • the order number (if applicable)
  • the details of the product you are looking to return – VID number or box barcode number
  • evidence of your perceived problem with the product and any additional information or imagery (photographs, video or other means) that may be relevant to processing your claim. Imagery should be clear and detailed. If the performance of the tag is a concern, please ensure the tag is clean of all dirt, grime and bodily matter for clarity of the issue.
  • your intended outcome if claim is approved – refund or replacement

If your intention is to claim for multiple products, please provide the above information for each product within the one email. Please note that the cost of shipping, tax and customs paid and calculated at the checkout may be non-refundable and will likely not be included in your warranty claim unless otherwise agreed by the store where the devices were purchased.

Our team will generally advise as to the progress of your claim within a reasonable time frame from receipt of your email.

Where your claim is approved by CERES TAG, and you have selected a:

  • replacement of a CERES TAG product, CERES TAG will arrange for the replacement (as necessary) of the CERES TAG product at no cost to you; or
  • refund, the store will process your refund within a reasonable timeframe; or
